Spectra 3D Acquires Spectra Positioning Systems

SAN FRANCISO -- Spectra 3D, Hayward, Calif., announced that it has acquired privately-held Spectra Positioning Systems, Sacramento, Calif. Spectra 3D is an authorized Trimble and Spectra Precision Laser dealership specializing in equipment, software and supplies serving the professional construction contractor markets.

The acquisition of Spectra Positioning Systems, which is also an authorized Trimble and Spectra Precision Laser dealer, means that Spectra 3D will now have a strategic additional location to better serve the Sacramento Valley market and support the business partnership it has with the local Caterpillar dealer, Holt of California. With the acquisition, Spectra 3D adds seven new employees, three of which are service technicians that work out of a fully equipped, in-house service facility.
